Credits and licenses
Original HackerPhone services, application, tests and tooling are by Your Pal Kal / Valleytech Custom Solutions, under the MIT license. MIT does not relicense dependencies, engineering-sample firmware, logos, or trademarks.
- CircuitMess created MakerPhone/Ringo and the MakerPhone 2 hardware. The original Ringo repositories were reviewed at firmware
6b45aff40dd71014140eaf78b170d9614f069ec4and library14cbc74d1ba067830067e32cebe9189f0266dcfb. Their older board driver is not compiled into this MP24 adapter. Its reference MIT notice is retained underthird_party/licenses/. - JustCallMeKoko / ESP32 Marauder is the requested toolkit reference, reviewed at
d3ceb28afeda1196ca27c13adeaa69ada52383f3. Its MIT notice is retained. The bounded packet builders were informed by its protocol fields; the raw-frame sanity override/linker technique follows its integration. The 0.4 AP heuristics, Meta identifier set, Find My/DULT service identifiers, beacon cloning and SAE-token workflows were also compared against this pinned reference. HackerPhone's parsers, worker lifecycle, storage formats and UI are independently implemented. Upstream's BLE-payload research credits include RapierXbox, ECTO-1A and Spooks4576. A feature inventory is not a claim that its full application has been ported. No endorsement is implied. - Matthew KuKanich / ChimeraBLE is a feature reference for BLE inspection, GATT workflows and optional vendor lookup. Its GPL-3.0 application, database binaries and generator code are not incorporated. HackerPhone's BLE worker, UI, vendor format and builder are independently written under MIT.
- SquachWatch-CYD and OUI Spy Unified Blue remain credited feature/protocol references. Their README descriptions were compared with the current detector. This is not a claim of complete feature parity or a redistribution of their applications.
- Dragon Detector, by the project owner, supplies the unchanged parser, RSSI filter, device-family colors and associated headers from
d7c46a6afcf1c5430533bfc47524546d72ee34be. Original MIT notice and upstream credit ledger are retained. The ledger's relative links refer to the original repository. - That detector's research acknowledgments include Colonel Panic / OUI Spy / Unified Blue / AXEOFF / Flock-You, the owner's Flock Noir, skizzophrenic / SquachWatch-CYD, CodeHedge, Flipper Devices, Samsung SmartTag research, Bluetooth SIG, Wireshark's manufacturer registry, and Google Find Hub protocol documentation. SquachWatch GPL application code is not copied. Protocol identifiers do not establish an operator's identity or intent.
- OpenDroneID core decoder
849c03adbe0cdd68997a462fafab397edcfe53f3is retained with its Apache-2.0 license, source notices, and upstream provenance. - Bodmer / TFT_eSPI, including embedded Adafruit notices, provides framebuffer drawing and the ST7735R initialization register tables used by the MP24 adapter, pinned in
platformio.ini. Its direct hardware SPI path is not used by this board. h2zero / NimBLE-Arduino provides BLE. The downloaded distributions retain their MIT/Apache-2.0 and component notices. - Espressif, ESP-IDF and Arduino-ESP32, plus pioarduino, supply the framework and build platform. Their individual Apache/LGPL and component licenses apply.
- lieff / minimp3 supplies the unmodified MP3 decoder under CC0. Its source, license and pinned provenance are retained in
third_party/minimp3/. The streaming player, controls and I2S integration are original HackerPhone code. - Benoit Blanchon / ArduinoJson 6.21.5, MIT, supplies JSON parsing/serialization for bounded AP-list interchange, upload settings and response checks. Its dependency distribution retains the license.
- Ramon Torres documented the six pitch/duration values of the Power Rangers communicator motif. HackerPhone uses an independently written RTTTL parser and synthesizer. The short Mario opening is a musical reference to Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. theme by Koji Kondo. Power Rangers, Mario, their music and related marks remain the property of their respective owners; the MIT license covers HackerPhone code, not a grant of rights to third-party compositions. No original audio recording or complete soundtrack is included.
- IEEE MA-L CSV data can be supplied separately by a user for the optional SD lookup. The generator records source and output hashes. No vendor registry is bundled, and this project's MIT license does not change data-source terms.
- Flipper Devices documents the
.irinterchange format. HackerPhone's bounded reader, writer, protocol encoders and IR application are independent MIT implementations; no GPL Flipper application source or remote database is incorporated. Espressif's public RMT API supplies capture, carrier handling and transmission. User-added remote databases retain their own licenses and attribution. - Quectel EG91 command documentation informed independently written AT parsing and SMS submission. The official EC2x/EG9x/EG2x-G/EM05 AT manual is referenced, not redistributed.
- BWM and Valleytech Custom Solutions artwork was supplied by the owner. Original PNGs are retained unchanged; the build tool fits and converts them to RGB565 for the device. Artwork/trademark rights remain with their owners.
- The optional Biscuit Shop and JustCallMeKoko / Marauder home themes use the
owner's unchanged supplied PNGs from Dragon Detector 0.13.1. Their originals
are retained in
assets/;tools/encode_assets.pyfits them for this panel. Artwork and trademark rights remain with their respective owners. These appearance choices do not imply endorsement or an official firmware port.
The MakerPhone 2 engineering-sample binary was read solely for recovery and hardware identification. It remains private; possession of that binary is not treated as permission to redistribute its code.
